cool things to know

zI am a Singer/Songwriter from Central Arkansas. I learned to sing in church at a very young age and grew up with music as a backdrop to my life, surrounded by instruments galore and infused with a passion for creating.  My  influences include U2, Ingrid Michaelson, Merle Haggard, Indigo Girls, Sarah McLachlan, Robert Plant, Sting and Ella Fitzgerald. Currently, I am LOVING Foals, Phantogram, Belle & Sebastian, Fitz & the Tantrums, Dawes, The Head and the Heart, and Saint Motel. My style? audiences say I have "something for everyone" and refer to the music as Americana, Indie-Pop, Coffeehouse, and Indie Rock.  My bandmates are Rodgey Roach (bass & vocals), Matt Stone (everything with strings!), and "Superdave" David Bishop (percussion).  You can find my music on iTunes, Amazon, Rdio, I Heart Radio, and Spotify.   I also enjoy vegan living and practicing and teaching yoga. Also, check out my blog for all things music, foodie, yoga, life, love and other things uniquely quirky in a "Rena Wren" kind of way at
